Production and Lead Times
Avella Interiors furniture is handcrafted to order. Current estimates are listed on the applicable product page, invoice, or proposal. Lead times begin after payment, required selections, order approval, and any requested customer information have been received.
Production and delivery timelines are estimates, not guaranteed dates. Handcrafting, curing, material availability, production volume, weather, carrier schedules, and other circumstances may affect timing. Avella Interiors will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
Shipping and Delivery Charges
Charges are based on the delivery location, order size, product type, quantity, and service level. They may be calculated at checkout, quoted separately, added by invoice, or collected before the order is released.
Delivery charges are nonrefundable once a carrier has been scheduled or the order has been picked up. Additional charges may apply for stairs, elevators, long carries, difficult or remote access, ferries, certificates of insurance, storage, redelivery, address changes, or other special requirements.
Delivery Area and Providers
Avella Interiors generally arranges furniture delivery within the contiguous United States. Other destinations require written approval before purchase. Smaller items may ship by parcel carrier; furniture is generally transported by an independent third-party furniture-delivery provider.
Independent providers control their routes, scheduling, personnel, and delivery windows. Delivery windows may change because of traffic, weather, mechanical issues, route changes, or delays at earlier stops. Avella Interiors is not responsible for delays outside its reasonable control but will assist with communication when appropriate.
Delivery Service
The service included with an order will be confirmed before shipment. Unless specifically approved in writing, delivery does not include stair carries, elevator reservations, assembly, moving existing furniture, installation, removal of doors or railings, long carries, or disposal of existing furniture.
Avella furniture is delivered assembled. The purchaser must confirm that the fully assembled piece will fit through all entrances and along the entire delivery path.
Required Delivery Information
Before shipment, the purchaser must confirm the recipient’s name, delivery address, mobile number, email address, access instructions, scheduling restrictions, and any elevator or certificate-of-insurance requirements. Changes must be submitted before carrier pickup.
An address change after pickup may not be possible and may result in rerouting, storage, cancellation, or redelivery fees.
Measurements and Access
The purchaser is responsible for confirming that the item will fit in the intended room and through doors, hallways, turns, stairwells, elevators, and other access points. Avella Interiors and the delivery provider are not responsible when delivery cannot be completed because of incorrect measurements, inadequate access, unsafe conditions, or building restrictions.
Any resulting return transportation, storage, redelivery, or special-handling charges are the purchaser’s responsibility.
Receiving and Inspecting Delivery
An adult must be present to receive, inspect, and sign for the furniture. Before the delivery team leaves, inspect the top, base, legs, edges, hardware, finish, and removable components.
Do not sign the delivery paperwork as received in good condition if visible damage is present. Visible damage must be:
- Clearly noted on the delivery paperwork.
- Photographed while the delivery team is present.
- Reported to orders@avellainteriors.com on the day of delivery.
The delivery provider’s photographs or verbal assurance that it will report the issue do not replace the purchaser’s responsibility to contact Avella Interiors.
Concealed Damage
A concern that could not reasonably be seen during delivery must be reported within 48 hours to orders@avellainteriors.com. Include the order number, a description, photographs, video when helpful, delivery paperwork, and photographs of the packaging. Keep all packaging until Avella Interiors confirms that it may be discarded.
Failure to document and report damage within the required period may limit our ability to submit a carrier claim or provide a remedy.
Acceptance and Post-Delivery Responsibility
Once delivery has been accepted, the purchaser is responsible for handling, storage, transportation, installation, and any later sale or transfer. Avella Interiors is not responsible for damage, defects, or claims arising after acceptance, including claims related to post-delivery handling, relocation, installation, storage, resale, use by a subsequent owner, or another third party.
For trade and wholesale purchases, Avella Interiors’ relationship is with the original purchasing dealer or trade account, not a downstream buyer. The dealer is responsible for delivery, installation, resale, client communication, and customer-service matters involving its own client. Any claim to Avella Interiors must be submitted by the original purchasing dealer.
Missed Deliveries, Holds, and Storage
Once a delivery date is accepted, someone must be available during the confirmed window. Missed deliveries, failed access, unavailable recipients, and last-minute changes may result in redelivery, waiting-time, storage, or cancellation fees charged to the purchaser.
Completed furniture should be received promptly. If the purchaser cannot accept delivery, Avella Interiors or the provider may charge storage fees. Extended storage must be approved in writing and may affect finishes or materials.
Refused Delivery
Do not refuse delivery unless the piece has significant visible transportation damage that prevents reasonable acceptance. Refusal because of color preference, fit, access, scheduling, buyer’s remorse, or another non-damage reason does not cancel the order. The purchaser remains responsible for the purchase and all transportation, storage, and redelivery expenses.
Local Pickup
Local pickup is not available unless specifically arranged and confirmed by Avella Interiors in writing.
